The question about who reads what

February 17, 2015

Oh I liked this statement:

“The question about who reads what is a strange one. Can we read a book only if it represents our precise ethnicity, location, era and social group? These days i read fiction from China, India, Portugal, Israel. I read fiction that was written 50 years ago, or two centuries ago. It’s important to read about ‘us’ but it’s also important to read about ‘them’, for both the similarities and the differences.” ~ Paula Morris
