Ethnicity is relevant to all groups
“[ethnicity] is relevant to all groups, not just marginal ethnic groups. That dominant groups typically envisage themselves apart from ethnicity ultimately functions to safeguard their privilege. Making a similar argument, albeit in the context of race, [Ann] Russo remarks: “Typically when we (white women) raise the issue of racism, we tend to focus solely on the lives and experiences of women of color …. Not seeing race as a white issue is part of the privilege of being white”.”[1]
