Introducing Brian Falkner

July 11, 2011

According to his synopsis in the 2011 Auckland Writers & Readers Festival booklet (in which he participated – Saturday May 14), “Brian Falkner is the award-winning author of several novels including, The Flea Thing, The Real Thing, The Super Freak, The Tomorrow Code and Brainjack. He was born in Auckland and grew up on the North Shore. He has been a motorcycle courier, ditch digger, dishwasher, radio journalist and announcer, copywriter, graphic designer and internet developer. Brian moved to Queensland early in 2011.” (p21)  In describing his latest book, The Project, the Festival blurb writers later write that it “might have been inspired by the idea of what you’d do with ‘the most boring book in the world’, but is proof Brian’s never boring.” (p63)
